Holy clutch pops! I understand there is no low range but I would think you would try to crawl a little. Clutch would not be happy but at least you would have axles and a transmission. (coming from a arm chair wheeler)

I used to own this same model year/trans combo and trust me when I saw that at this elevation and with the gearing it has...that's the only way to do it.

This was one of the most enjoyable videos I've seen for months. I love these light - medium (?) offroad trails. I actually prefer these to the impossible and extreme rock crawling stuff. One day, I'll save up and get a Suzuki Samurai or something and do this myself.

Damn! That looks like fun!! Can't wait for the snow to melt here in Montana so I can get back out there!
I want to see every Subaru on the road treated like this, as I would respect them a sh*t ton more!
